French painter
A prolific painter Fragonard studied under Chardin and Boucher.
He won the Prix de Rome in 1752.
His works tend to be executed in a lighthearted style and often of a frivolous nature
His subjects include landscapes, children and family scenes but perhaps he is most remembered for his erotic canvases.
